Where our Easy Read images come from

We use images to make documents easier to understand. Our images come from two sources.

Example of a Bonnington symbol

Most of our images come from the Bonnington Symbol System. These are Easy Read images that help people with learning disabilities understand information.

Created by: Tom Orr and Edinburgh Council

Edinburgh Council made these symbols free for everyone to use. This helps organisations create accessible documents.

How it works

When you convert a document, our computer automatically chooses the best images to help explain your content.

All images in your Easy Read document include proper attribution showing where they came from.

Missing an Image ?

Sometimes your Document might need an image we do not have yet.

Subscribers can request new Images to be created on demand. If something is missing from your Easy Read Document, just ask us. We will create a new Image for your needs.

New Images are added to our library so everyone benefits.
